Swerving Long Island Expressway Motorist Accused Of Going 105 MPH Charged With DWI

A motorist accused of riding at nearly twice the speed limit on the Long Island Expressway was allegedly driving while intoxicated.

On Friday, Dec. 22, Suffolk County Sheriff's Office deputies working the DWI Enforcement Team observed Oscar Flores-Fuentes, age 28, swerving over the roadway lines near Exit 57 in Islandia while traveling at approximately 105 MPH in a 55-mile-per-hour zone. 

He demonstrated clues while performing standardized field sobriety tests indicating he was intoxicated, the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office added. 

Flores-Fuentes was arrested and transported to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office Headquarters Bureau in Riverhead where he submitted to a chemical breath test resulting in a .18 percent blood-alcohol content. 

Flores-Fuentes was charged with Aggravated DWI due to the high BAC and other NYS Vehicle and Traffic Laws violations. 

The Sherrif's Office did not release Flores-Fuentes' place of residence.
